24/4/2012  -  Our second day in Port Fairy .  Still cold and raining on and off.  Did another load of washing today to make sure all is up to date before we leave tomorrow.  We also went for a drive downtown to have a bit of a look around town.  Just got out to have a look at the boats at the marina when it started to rain so we had to cut that short.  They town is just beautiful with so many old houses and buildings here.  There is so much history in this town.  There is a walk you can take to look at all the old places but it is not the weather for that. We found a place called "The Douglass".  It had fine accommodation and was also a restaurant. Part of it was  a very old buidling and part was new.  Took photos of that for John and Kristy. We would love to come back to this town when the weather is good and spend at least a week checking out the history.  The caravan park has been good too but was $36 a night in low season so not cheap. Had fish (flake) and chips from the local fish and chip shop for tea.
